Everyone knows gardening and exploring London’s green space keeps you fit, but spending quality time outdoors can also have enormous benefits for mental wellbeing, personal development and recovery.

As well as the chance to learn practical skills, and link the food growing we do with cooking and promoting a healthy diet, our GreenHouse sessions help people reduce isolation and build confidence from being part of something.

GreenHouse works to help people connect with their environment, to appreciate, care and cultivate growth for themselves as well as our gardens and green spaces.

Upcoming GreenHouse Activities

If you like the idea of growing food, want to get your hands in the soil or just spend time in a beautiful green space, then we'd love for you to come and be part of the GreenHouse Project

We're facilitating sessions in some SHP gardens across London, an allotment in North East London (Waltham Forest) and we go on trips and walks too. We can also point SHP Service Users in the direction of accredited training and local volunteering opportunities in gardens nearby.

_________

We also run a therapeutic series of workshops twice a year - Exploring Self in Nature - where participants explore nature connection, creativity and can share in a supportive group setting.

If you would like to read about GreenHouse’s recent Exploring Self in Nature workshop reflection hosted at the Tate Modern please read more about it below:

________

We're a small team so we may not be able to come to your garden but we are more than happy to help you create your own GreenHouse Project and give tips and help to support you to enjoy your green spaces.

We also have a limited amount of free tickets to Kew Gardens!

Check out our current GH sessions through our Opportunities Programme Activities Calendar

We look forward to hearing from you!
