Delicious Collaborations with GreenHouse Project and Team ROC
What’s round, hot and burns the roof of your mouth if you’re being a bit impatient?
Within the first few glimmers of spring doing its thing experiments are afoot in SHP’s Wandsworth Services in collaboration with the Greenhouse Project. We have been generously donated a brand new Ooni Pizza Oven (Thank you!!!) and have been very much enjoying learning by doing.
Right. So. Figuring out the finer points of how to make the dough, form the base, tend the fire, and whip the pizza’s in and out can take a bit of getting used to….
But as Claire pointed out to me that’s half the fun; trying it out, getting it wrong and just enjoying the process… which has lead to lots of laughs and, as it happens, some fresh and tasty homemade pizza!

Having seen how it works everyone is now developing their own area of expertise from tending the oven itself to becoming a master pizza base maker.
Looking forward to more fun times and the ongoing search for the perfect pizza!

More deliciousness from our North London Services…
Residents at Arundel in lockdown number 3, have been enjoying some outdoor cooking in their lovely big garden, every Friday. Whether it has been making pizzas with Lorena and our new Greenhouse volunteer James, who was once a resident at Arundel, or whipping up some pancakes to cook over the fire. Fresh air, mesmerising flames, or the watchful moon, have all been elements of solace for the Arundel residents.
