ArtHouse Project Launches New Partnership With Artist Heath Kane

Single Homeless Project is partnering with best-selling, international artist Heath Kane to launch his newest collection, Richer Than Batman.

The exhibition at the Electric Gallery in London, focuses on the growing chasm between rich and poor – a conversation directly relevant to homelessness in our city. The exhibition runs until Friday 13 November.

As part of the partnership, a percentage of each sale will be donated to our work, helping Londoners experiencing homelessness.

Heath will also collaborate with our in-house art programme, Arthouse, working with our clients to build on their passion and skills in art and support our work in helping them to build careers in the creative industries.

As part of the partnership, Heath will be holding two private viewings for our clients and staff on October 29th. The viewing will include a meet-and-greet with Heath, a discussion around the theme of the work, an introduction to the medium of screen-printing and an opportunity to find out more about SHP Arthouse.

We will be holding two client trips to the exhibition. The young people's trip will be taking place from 12-1pm and the adult's trip will be running from 2pm-3pm.

Address: Electric Gallery, 12 High Rd, London E18 2QL

If your client is interested to attend the exhibition, please contact Arts Manager Meghan via art@shp.org.uk by October 26th.

Travel expenses are provided for clients living outside the borough of Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

We’ll announce further partnership opportunities with Heath Kane next year - so stay tuned!

Richer than Batman Exhibition: Richer than Batman is the next chapter of Heath Kane’s bestselling collection Rich Enough to be Batman. The original collection was created at a time when greed was plentiful. Sir Phillip Green was known as ‘the unacceptable face of Capitalism’, after steering the deliberate collapse of BHS. Six years on, in a post-pandemic society, the chasm between rich and poor has grown even wider, and the conversation is now even more relevant. Heath wanted to re-open the conversation about the disparity of wealth, and so, asked people a question: if you were 400 times richer what would you do and how would it make you feel? The new collection is a visual representation of these responses.

The exhibition will also feature collaborations from 8 well known and emerging artists including: DAVE BUONAGUIDI, DAISY EMERSON and LIZZIE COLES.
