Wandsworth Winter Wanders - A Client & Staff Co-Produced Story From Our GreenHouse Project

A co-produced story by Anthony, Derek & Jen

Over the last few months and while it has been a bit cold too garden we have kept up the emphasis on getting outdoors.

Wandsworth residents and staff have been out and about on day trips to various places around London. We have been to Kew Gardens, London Wetlands Centre in Barnes, St James Park, along the river, Dean City Farm, Fulham Palace and Morden Hall Park to name but a few.

Peoples highlights were feeding the goats at Dean City Farm, the fish at the aquarium/fish shop in Morden Hall. Kew is always good to visit at anytime of the year and we are shortly to return for their annual orchid festival.

Anthony a resident says

"Barnes was a really good choice to visit; it's good to meet people from other projects to hang out and would like to do that more."

The lowlights were a necessary pit stop on one of our walks at the Vauxhall outdoor urinals! Well worth avoiding if can be helped..

London is a great city with lots of free stuff to see and green spaces to explore. For those with freedom passes most places can be travelled to for free and if not buses around London can take you to unexpected and interesting corners of our city. Lots of places have schemes for community groups, charities or people going with support.
