Therapy/ Counselling can mean different things to different people, but for most it's a process of talking to someone to off-load, to make sense of what's happened and happening in their life, how they feel, think, and are behaving and to make changes in their life. It takes place in a regular, safe setting free from outside intrusions, offering privacy and confidentiality. The Service is delivered by Volunteer Therapists either qualified or in training. Clinical supervision is provided to all therapists.
“Every client I have met at SHP has experienced some sort of trauma in their life. Everyone deserves the chance to work through that, not to change the events of the past but change the way their future is going.”
